When feeling on edge or overwhelmed, resting and digesting, is a sign something is about to deeply shift and the system which has been used to other ways of doing might move into freeze out of fear of the unknown new experience. This freeze in the body can have goodness, self protection. If you can move into your body or towards what feels pleasurable in your environment then you train this edge to soften and move towards a new perspective and way of being.
