To be an empowered speaker
Jun 28, 2021To be an empowered speaker, we wish to speak from experience but if I am an academic and steeped in analysis, I don't really need to speak from experience. I am speaking from what I already know. However if I wish to make my content inspiring for others to listen to or to change their perception then a "story form" is the most accessible for most listeners. The story, even though you know the words, how they will be expressed in the moment can always be brand new for you can express from all that is happening in that present moment.
But if I am going to stand up and be inspiring and wish for people to listen to what I have to say, then I need to learn to express from my current experience.
