How to build and develop trust in a relationship

trust Jul 01, 2022

Trust your body to anchor you.

Deep learning requires deep trust ~

If I feel safe I will be able to learn, to breathe, to speak, to take direction.

How can I trust you? You my body, who has betrayed me so often by your need to feel, to be heard, to be seen?

How can I trust you?

You wish to feel what I would prefer not to feel. You wish to express what I do not wish to express. You bring me to places and open wounds that change how I breathe and make my muscles need to contract.

I want to shield myself from your honesty, your authenticity, your truth.
Why do you need to feel in order to be free?
Why is it so crucial to you to be heard? Why do you ask me to stand up for you? To speak out for you?

I am scared of you, my body.

You are unknown and mysterious. You love and lose. You scream and whisper. You grieve and play. How can you with such courage allow it all through?

You are asking something of me that is going to take all of me. Is it worth it? Is that the path to liberating me and my character's story?

This path I must walk alone but there is no need to be lonely. Others have done so too and are doing so with you...

All walk alone,

but there is no need to be lonely.
