Actors, resting is really important!

You’re meant to be unemployed.

You’re meant to have periods of time when you’re not working, cause your job is different to everybody else’s.

Who wants all of us be working 365 days a year?

You are artists, you don’t need to do that.

You are using your whole body as your instrument, not everybody does that.

You’re supposed to rest, because until you stop you can’t see.

Do you see stuff when you’re like going through the world and “doing”? you don’t see anything and your job is to see stuff!

Your job is to sit in the cafe and watch people.
Your job is to read books.
Your job is to listen to music.
Your job is to go to the theatre.
Your job is to go to the cinema.
Your job is to eat good food.
Your job is to work out.

It’s not everybody’s job but it’s your job!

Most people, that’s their recreation, you know they didn’t choose that job, and they chose more security than you did.

So your benefit is that you’re allowed rest, you’re allowed be unemployed.

You’re allowed spend your working day and call it your working day, did you work today? yes I did and you could have spent the day in your hammock reading your book, listening to the birds in the garden, drinking a cup of coffee and listening to good music or singing a song,
that’s your job!
